The New Stock: An Evening with Jon Feingersh

Save the Date!

Stock has historically been thought of as the ugly step child of the photo world.   But many highly skilled photographers work exclusively in stock, producing much of the most exciting and compelling images used in advertising. Jon Feingersh’s work has been at the forefront of the stock world for many years. Join us for a surprising evening of images that will make you rethink your concept of stock photography.

Through examples of his work and personal anecdotes drawn from 25 years in the stock industry, Jon will share with us his thoughts on where stock has been and, more importantly, where it will be in the future. We’ll see images that span the genres from lifestyle to conceptual in a variety of styles that will make you ask yourself, “Is that really stock?”

Jon is one of the most successful, yet locally unknown, photographers in the DC area.   Quitting  assignment work around 1986, Jon has been doing stock photography exclusively ever since. In the stock world, however, Jon’s production group is one of the best known, most prolific, and most highly respected stock photography production companies in the country.   On average, each business day, the rights to more than 15 of his images are licensed somewhere around the world.

He is a founding member/principal of Blend Images, the first photographer-owned stock agency specializing in multicultural images. His work is represented by,,,,, as well as hundreds of their sub-agents around the world. In addition to all of this he has also found time to teach master classes at the Maine Photographic Workshops, shape minds at CDIA at Boston University, and participate in panel discussions at PDN’s Photo East Expo.
