Join APA DC for a group trip to Glenstone, a private contemporary art museum in Potomac, Maryland. "Glenstone is a place that seamlessly integrates art, architecture, and nature into a serene and contemplative environment."
Registration is limited and only open to APA Members (plus a guest)! Registered guests will meet with APA board members at 10am at the Arrival Hall where we will hand out museum maps and set a time to reconvene at the cafe later in the afternoon. Registration will be canceled immediately if non-APA members register for the event. If you are interested in becoming an APA member, please read about our memberships here.
Please Note:
APA members and registered guests are required to secure their own transportation to Glenstone.
Tickets are for one-person only and cannot be shared with anyone.
You will receive an email from APA with more information as the event date nears.
Visitors should be prepared to spend considerable time on foot, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Picnicking is not permitted at Glenstone.
The sound sculpture, FOREST (for a thousand years…), 2012 by Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller contains loud passages including sounds of explosions and recordings from historical battle reenactments which may be heard throughout the site.
