Coffee Break: Film and the Luminous Landscape – May 31

It’s time for another coffee break! This is a series of informal group discussions on a general topic combined with a trip to see and inspirational photo exhibit.  This time around, we’ll focus on shooting film– what’s available, favorite cameras, where to process/print, how to scan it, anywhere the conversation leads.

Afterwards, we’ll head over to see the current show, Luminous Landscapes by Architect/Photographer Alan Ward. Shot on large format and panoramic cameras, Luminous Landscapes is a B&W show that explores manmade environments.

1/14 Coffee Break – Resolutions and Irving Penn

So, here we are, at the beginning of a new year. If you haven’t come up with some goals for your business by now, you should be thinking long and hard about them. Luckily, APA|DC is coming to the rescue, armed with a steaming mug of caffeinated inspiration!

(Well, we’re organizing the rendezvous anyway.)

Join us on January 14th at the Kogod Courtyard at the National Portrait Gallery for an informal discussion on our 2016 resolutions, and our plans on how to implement them. Afterwards we’ll head in to see the Irving Penn show, Beyond Beauty. (Spoiler Alert: it’s fantastic.)
